Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Review 2223
Samsung has been the world’s top smartphone maker for years. They have several different phone series and each caters to a specific market. One of their popular series is the Galaxy A series, designed specifically for those who need a high-end phone but don’t want to break the bank. The A-series offers features you’d typically find on more expensive phones.
Samsung Galaxy A33 Mobile Price in Bangladesh 2022
The Galaxy A name first appeared on the Samsung SHW-M100S in 2010 Over the years, the company has brought many flagship phones under this series And they launched a new model, Galaxy A53 5G on March 31, 2022 in Bangladesh. The phone has some nice features. Let’s dive into the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G review.
Key Features of Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
Design

Last year, Samsung revealed a new industrial design for its Galaxy A52 series that included a rectangular chassis with gently curved sides and attractive colors. This year, the Korean company is making no changes to the Galaxy A53, which retains the same design but with some minor differences.
The sides are completely flat; There are no curves on the front or back of the set, and the design of the camera island is minimally similar to that derived from the set’s chassis. Samsung is bringing back the polycarbonate design which is more flexible and easy to use. It also prevents blemishes.
The A53’s chassis is quite slim, so the device has no 3.5-millimeter audio jack. But, it has surprisingly good audio for watching and playing media.
The sleek Galaxy A53’s chrome edges are distracting. Also, with no curves, the A53 5G is less comfortable than the A52.
Display

Not much to say about the screen as the A53’s 6.5-inch AMOLED screen remains the same as last year’s A52 and goes up to 120 Hz. Also, maximum brightness remains unchanged at 800 nits, but it’s bright enough for outdoors. The display comes with Gorilla Glass.
Unlike the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G misses out on some niceties. For example, HDR10+ and dynamic scaling. However, the A53 excels at the basics. The colors of the display are rich and vibrant, the 120Hz mode can be activated out of the box and you can change the color balance to your liking. Moreover, always-on mode has a lot of possibilities and you can set a dark mode.
performance
Although Samsung is using Qualcomm-based hardware this year, they have changed the A53’s hardware. It has migrated to the Exynos 1280 and is used for all A53 phones around the world as well as in North America. The Exynos 1280 has one 2.40GHz Cortex A78 and six 2.0GHz Cortex A55 cores. Its 5nm design outperforms last year’s 8nm Snapdragon 720G/750G. So, the A53 will be much more efficient than any phone with Snapdragon. This will give the device more battery life.
Camera

Samsung is using a quad-camera array for its rear, equipped with a 64MP OIS primary lens with optical image stabilization, a 12MP wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view, and two 5MP macro and portrait lenses. It has a 32MP rear camera with a fixed focus that can be used to capture 4K video at 30fps like previous phones.
The hardware configuration has not changed from the A52. However, Samsung notes that they are using a new sensor on the Galaxy A53. New sensors along with upgraded algorithms with Samsung’s One UI 4.1 help differentiate the Galaxy A53 from previous models.
If you’re coming from a different Samsung Galaxy phone, you’ll find the camera interface very familiar. Full shooting modes are accessible, and there’s an exposure toggle, a flash button with a different setting, an HDR timer and filters, and you’ll be able to easily access different lenses from the display.
But the quality of the low-light capabilities makes the A53 stand out from the rest. There are some places where you miss out on small details due to reduced highlights and shadows, but for the most part, the phone holds its own in this department.
Software and storage

The Galaxy A53’s software includes One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. Samsung plans to release four updates to its flagship and midrange series phones, including the Galaxy A53. This means that the phone will get an Android operating system upgrade somewhere around 2025.
The phone comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM and 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacities. Apart from this, you can increase the virtual RAM and add an external SD card up to 1TB
Battery

The 5000mAh battery on the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G maintains its endurance even though it uses a lot. If you use the phone for more than 18 hours, you will get more than 5.5 hours of battery life on the phone.
The phone’s 25W fast charging standard remains unchanged, making it roughly on par with its A52 counterpart, which in turn charges a full battery in around 80 minutes. However, Xiaomi offers 120W charging and Realme has standardized 65W charging. Compared to this capability, Samsung is far behind them.
The A53’ 5000 mAh takes around 30 minutes to reach 50%, which ensures long battery life. The phone does not come with a charger in the box. Therefore, you have to buy it separately.
The Galaxy A53 does not have wireless charging capabilities. However, it is surprising that this high-end phone does not come with a wireless charging feature when other mid-range phones offer it easily.
Samsung Galaxy A53 Price in Bangladesh
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes in three colors Blue, Black and Orange. Whichever color you choose, the phone will cost Rs. 49,999. However, you can also buy a phone for less. 40,999, depending on the store.
Final word
Samsung is taking a conservative approach with the Galaxy A53. The phone’s hardware looks similar to its predecessor, but there are several notable improvements in other areas such as its processor and battery.
The smartphone has a large AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as some good-quality cameras that take high-quality photos in any kind of light.
If you are looking for a mid-range phone with long-term software support or rely on the phone most of the time for business purposes, you can buy this. But, keep in mind that the Galaxy A53 5G is not a game-centric phone.
